About Judy Henninger
Artist Biography
Judy Henninger is a self-taught artist living in Southern California. She is a painter working in oil, acrylic and watercolor. She is also a photographer, and sculptor working in ceramics, paper clay, and wood. She is comfortable working with many different styles including still life, surrealism, abstract and more. Her artwork has been described as electric surrealism. Her work is both, intuitive and present of mind. The majority of her work comes from a desire to share and express emotions that cannot always be so easily conveyed otherwise.
Artists Statement
Art often asks the viewer, what do you see? While I'm in the process of creating the question is, how does this piece of artwork make me feel? What memories or emotions will it conjure in the time it takes me to complete? I enjoy searching for just the right pieces of insight into color, dreams, and most Importantly memories before I had the use of words. My hope is to convey those emotions that cannot be expressed by words but can change our lives.
